Chardonnay / Central Otago / NewZealand
Chard Farm was established in 1987 by Motueka brothers Rob and Greg Hay. They were the first to come into the area with the intention of setting up a commercial vineyard, settling on Chard Farm after an exhaustive search for a site which best emulated the cool continental climate and soils of some of the greatest wine producing areas of the world, most notably Burgundy and Alsace. The investigation lead to Central Otago, the long term goal being to craft the finest classic cool climate wines in a structured and generously proportioned old world style.

SauvBlanc / Adelaide Hills / SouthAustralia
Black Thursday Vineyard played a role in extinguishing some nasty bushfires which threatened the Adelaide hamlets of Kuitpo and Gumeracha. Cheers were raised and there were many thanks given, but nothing could save chilled bottles of Chain of Ponds Sauvignon Blanc from the tired and thirsty firefighters. Consider this drink to be something quite the opposite of a parched and arid flame, think of green grass, iced kiwi fruit, cool cucumber and asparagus. A great match to the freshest sashimi or traditional Coquilles St Jacques.

Kerner / Barossa / SouthAustralia
Graeme and Michael Fechner brought back cuttings of the Weißer Herold grape, also known as Kerner, to their Eden Valley vineyard, following a research trip to Germany in 2001. The vines bloomed and found a new home away from home, where the felicitious, long calm ripening seasons encourage the grapes to form lusciously sweet fruit esters, redolent of all the tropical muscat characters which define the dulcet delicacy of the delightful Kerner. Grapefruits, lychee and applejack, an excellent choice of chilled Mosel style white to accompany dressed birds, savoury bakes and desserts.

Riesling Gewurztraminer Herold / Barossa / SouthAustralia
A seamless single vineyard co ferment of three wonderously perfumed whites, a third each of Riesling, Traminer and the abstruse Kerner Weißer Herold, a bespoke Riesling Trollinger hybrid. There are few places with the exceptional excellence of terroir to sire such a graceful bouquet of aromatic varietals. The eminent Fechner brothers block at Moculta is fortuitously mineral rich, gently strewn with marble and chalk shards for the infusement of grapes with lively lychee and fragrant florals. Its marvelously poised and elegant structure, lustrous with minerality and lingering with honeysuckle hazel delights.

For Bodega Catena, every wine speaks of the vineyard, pioneering a research project into the microclimates of Mendoza. Through the planting of select clones on various blocks, Bodega Catena were able to identify the ideal locations. Sites which are just a few kilometers apart can have vast differences in altitude and possess markedly different microclimates. The same varietal and even the same clone, can exhibit distinct aromatic and flavour profiles. Crafted from the fruit of ancient rows, a purity of flavour and a minerality that's identifiably Adrianna and Domingo Vineyards Chardonnay.
